06.07.2022 Wunderschöne Abschlussrunde, möglicherweise meine letzte Madeirawanderung?



Datum: 06.07.2022

Anfahrt: Calheta - Paul da Serra - Lombo do Mouro

Verlauf: Start auf der ER110 bei der Kreuzung mit der Levada do Lombo do Mouro mit der Levada da Serra (wobei es sich ja eigentlich um die gleiche Levada handelt...)
Auf dem PR17 entlang der Levada da Serra bis zu den Wasserfällen, Umgehungsweg und auf dem Lombo.
Ab hier entlang der Levada da Serra bis zum Pinaculo. Hier habe ich dank Geocaching die kleine Schutzhöhle unterhalb des Pinaculo entdeckt!
Weiter entlang der Levada da Serra unter den Wasserfällen durch bis zur Madre.
Auf diesem abwärts bis zum nächsten Trampelpfad, der uns zur Lagoa do Caramujo und zur Casa do Caramujo führte.
Nach einer kurzen Pause auf dem PR17 zur Levada do Plaino Velho.
Auf dieser bis zum Abstieg nach Amazonia, aber hier aufwärts auf der Vereda das Paredes.
Zuerst steil, dann an 5 Kletterstellen senkrecht hoch gesichert mit Stahlketten. Die Tritte sind gut und die Kletterstellen sind mässig schwierig, wenn man sich etwas gewohnt ist.
Am Schluss landeten wir wieder auf dem PR17, dann Aufstieg nach Bica da Cana, wo wir 2 wunderschöne Aussichtsplateaus unterhalb des offiziellen Miradouros besuchten.
Am Schluss zurück nach Bica da Cana, wo wir das zweite Auto parkiert hatten.

Distanz: 16.8 Km, 950 Hm Aufstieg, 950 Hm Abstieg

Start: 10.20 Lombo do Mouro

Ende: 17.20 Bica da Cana

Zustand: Die Levada da Serra wurde vor kurzem saniert und ausgebaut, völlig unproblematisch.
Etwas speziell die Wasserfallpassagen, wo man unweigerlich nass wird.
Der PR17 ist gut ausgebaut, der alternative Abstieg zum Caramujo-Haus braucht Trittsicherheit und Orientierungsvermögen.
Die Levada do Plaino Velho ist unproblematisch.
Die Vereda das Paredes setzt etwas Kraxelerfahrung voraus, lieber im Auf- als im Abstieg
Die beiden Aussichtsplateaus sind wunderschön und einsam!

Mal schauen, ob Madeira nochmals möglich sein wird mit einem neuen Knie....
