1984 1985 Hongkong als Mittelpunkt und Drehscheibe unserer Reise



Datum: Wir waren drei mal in Hongkong:

- 22. 12. - 28. 12. 1984: ankommend von Taiwan und weiter von hier nach Bangkok

- 23. 03. - 27. 03. 1985: ankommend von Bangkok und weiter von hier nach China

- 16. 05. - 21. 05. 1985: ankommend von China und weiter von hier nach Manila

Sightseeing war vor allem bei unserem ersten Aufenthalt angesagt,
beim zweiten und dritten Mal mussten wir und von den Anstrengungen unterwegs erholen (auch kulinarisch...)
Hongkong ist sehr lebhaft und stressig, bietet aber als Erholungsort mit westlichen Restaurants, einfacher Fortbewegung und einfacher Verständigung viele Vorteile.
China light sozusagen, immer wieder kann man in chinesisches Chaos eintauchen, um dann nach Bedarf wieder in Ruhe ohne 30 Leute, die uns zuschauen, eine Pizza zu essen. Man fällt hier einfach nicht auf, und das wurde auf unserer Reise je länger je angenehmer!
Unvergessen der erste Anflug auf dem alten Flughafen, der Blick von oben auf Hongkong Island auf das Lichtermeer und die Hektik und der Kontrast von Aberdeen im Süden.
Und speziell haben uns die alten Doppelstock-Trams auf Hongkong Island gefallen!
